Wings Tattoo - Quick Advices for Getting a Beautiful Butterfly Tattoo Design
Author: Nancy Miller

When you ask people about wings tattoos they just consider the basics. This also holds true for anyone who wants to get a butterfly tattoo. However, this isn't even close to the truth. There is tons of work that goes into designing both of these options, especially since you have to consider the design, style, color, shape or size and everything else that goes into a perfect tat. If you don't take the time to plan your tattoo out you will end up with something that doesn't feel like you. Listen, don't take this route and take your time with the preparation. You will feel better in the end.

Size Is Important

Making sure you have the perfect size for your wings tattoo is another important factor. If you choose something that is too big you will have to consider all the various details involved as well. Then again, if the tat is too small in size you may not have enough space to get the "fine" details that show off the wings tattoo's true beauty. It may sound odd, but even a simple butterfly tattoo needs to have a perfect size. Oh, and please remember about the location when you consider this tattoo. It will play a major role in the finished product.

Open or Partly Closed Wings

When you first thing about a wings tattoo; do you picture an open design? If you do your with the majority, because most people do. It's basically the option that everyone seems to fall back on when viewing their choices. One thing to understand though is that this isn't the only option out there. You can also get closed wings or even partially closed wings if you need other choices. While all this may be true, another thing to consider is how the finished product will actually look. Then of course understanding the meaning behind your tattoo is definitely something to think about as well. Oh, and let's not forget about how important it is for everyone to tell that you have a wings tattoo.

Drawing It Out

Probably the biggest mistake someone can make when they get a tattoo is letting the tattoo artist do all the work. Would you really go to a tattoo parlor after figuring out exactly what you want only to have them provide you with their drawing? No way! If you did that it would be like going to a car lot wanting to purchase a brand new car and ending up with a 15 year old one. The point is if you have something in mind then you need to make sure you take that route. We've seen so many times when people head to the local tattoo artist and make the mistake of having the artist draw something for them and then end up hating the results. So please don't be this person.

Take the time to draw the wings tattoo out, even if your art skills aren't up to par. Many times individuals make a rough sketch and then pay someone who has artistic talent to fix it up a bit. Again, if their finished product isn't what you have in mind then make them draw you another one.

Not Everything That Looks Good on Paper Looks Good on Skin

Hey, if you draw something out or have someone do it for you, don't get upset if it doesn't look good on paper. Then of course there are times when it looks great on paper and looks absolutely horrid when you get it on your body. Whatever situation you endure it's important to project everything to your body type and skin tone. The truth is there are many tattoos that look good on one person and horrible on the next person. Just remember that your wings tattoo is forever, so make sure you take the time to perfect your design.

Okay, after running through all this information did you really think there was this much that went into it? Probably not, but most people don't anyways. What it comes down to is you know now, and it will save you tons of frustration and disappointment when you go out and get your new wings tattoo.
